The Native Language Project

Our partnership enables American Indians to hear God’s Word in their own “heart” language!

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace….” Isaiah 55:11-12a

It is our joy – rooted in our ministry philosophy – to partner with Native believers who speak the Native language and are effectively conveying the Gospel from their hearts to the heart of their people. The preaching, testimonies, and singing on DVD in their tribal tongue is effective. Sadly, many tribal members do not have a copy or cannot read God’s Word in their own language. We are working with Native Apache believers who are recording God’s Word onto audio CD so that it is possible for their people to hear the Word of God in their own “heart language.” Several books from the New Testament have been completed, and we are now giving them out in the Native community and at venues such as the Gathering of Nations, the largest national Native event where 700 different tribes are represented. Work is progressing to record the rest of the books from the Apache New Testament. We are currently able to distribute audio of God’s Word in Apache, Navajo, Hopi, O’Odham, Ojibwe, Northern Paiute, Central Carrier, Southern Carrier, Southern Tiwa, Blackfeet, Cree, Gwich’in, Inupiaq, Naskapi, and Spanish. We are witnessing receptive hearts to hearing of God’s Truth in the Native language!

Thank you so much for praying! We had a great turn out of 32 people, which included my husband and me. That was a good percentage since we only have around 80 people in town! The DVD was VERY WELL received and several of our Native folks want copies of it. It thrilled our hearts. The comments were very positive. We feel that the message of salvation coming from another Native helps them to realize that it is NOT a white man’s religion…One other comment was made from my neighbor who is Native, she said when the people were singing they were singing in her Native tongue, Dene’. She understood them! We have two people groups here in the north, Dene’ and Cree. Well, thank you for doing the DVD. We are trusting it will be a possible break through in our work here….” (Canada)

The cost to duplicate the Gospel of John (3 CD’s) is less than a dollar apiece. If you would like to help with this project, you may mail your gift to Regeneration Reservation and designate for the “Native Language Project” or click on the donate button below.
